Uploading Service Revamp

MyPost Updates File & Image Storage Service

We recently upgraded our Image and File hosting services for those using MyPost. There are definitely pros and cons to this change we apologize for this inconvenience, this is the only way we can continue our hosting of images and documents. As MyPost grows in popularity and our visitors are utilizing the image and file storage features, we needed to upgrade in order to keep up with any possible demands on the server. This will also allow us to keep MyPost as a free service to you. It will also help keep your files more secure and private, as we are no longer storing them on our personal server. Therefore, your images will now be served from our CDN which is probably up 99.99% of the time. This will help better serve our users and load your images much faster than before.

This also means that we will be removing any images and documents already uploaded to our servers. If you created any posts with images before January 5, 2017, they will no longer work and you must re-upload them to your posts. If you were fond of our Public Gallery, this gallery is no longer available nor can it be accessed. This ensures more privacy to you, as the user, and you will be given a link to your image or document just once. If you lose this link, you will lose access to the file forever. It cannot be recovered or found ever again. As before, it will be stored indefinitely on our CDN server, and there is no way to delete it manually.

If you happen to have uploaded something that you want deleted, you may email us with the post and image filename. It will ONLY be deleted if you stored your email on MyPost (located in the SHOW ADVANCED OPTIONS section). Otherwise, we have no way to confirm you are the actual owner of the photo.

For the Image hosting, you may continue to upload gif, jpg, and png. For the File hosting, you may upload doc, docx, xls, xlsx, ppt, pptx, txt, and pdf. Both Image hosting and File hosting is limited to a 10 MB filesize. We do reserve the right to delete your image or documents without your permission if they are reported to us or if we review them and find them offensive.

We will be removing any current images and documents on July 1, 2017. You will need to switch your images and documents over to newer links. Old links will no longer work. All you have to do is re-upload them and replace your current links with the new ones that you receive once you have uploaded your new files. We believe that this is a permanent solution and you will no longer need to worry about any files that you may upload in the future.

If you have any questions or concerns, you can contact us.
