With some planning and enough need, almost anything you can imagine can be fabricated from metal. Even if it's something you've thought of, but it doesn't exist yet. With iron, steel, and aluminum, it takes care and precision work, but almost anything can be designed. Need a security door fabricated for an unusually sized space? Check this one out. It's an all-aluminum fishing table and utility box. It's got space to store your fish on ice, as well as plenty of storage to keep your tools and bait and tackle. Of course, it wouldn't be complete without a few cupholders. The client knew what they wanted, and it didn't exist yet, so we fabricated one to fit in their boat - exactly where they wanted. Of course, the high quality of aluminum used in this custom project won't rust - so the boat upgrade will last as long as the boat itself.
The thing is, when you're custom fabricating your components, there's no end to the specifications you can define! 
This piece was fabricated for a custom truck that rolled in to a friend's shop. It was a 1966 F-100 with some serious rust building on the undercarriage. It was a bit over warranty, in fact, no one's made the part he needed restored for half a century now. With a lot of planning a new piece was fabricated to precisely match the metal that had rotted. With a few more cuts and welds to position it in place, the truck was driving as good as new.
